While just a skeleton, it holds a wealth of history about colonial life on Georgia’s barrier islands. Colcord designed an eight-room, one-story adobe and wood frame house in Bel-Air for Horton. In 1925, he bought a four-acre estate at 5521 Amestoy Ave. in Encino, which he named Belleigh Acres.
